The Fifth Estate

Whatever the reviews might have been, I did like the movie. It might not have resembled all of the real story behind WikiLeaks but the portrayal on the big screen was good according to me.
The story of Julian Assange and his organization is interesting and thought provoking and was well brought to life by Benedict Cumberbatch and Daniel Brühl. I liked both of their previous films they did namely Star Trek Into Darkness and Rush. I had seen some interviews of Julian Assange before on TV  and Benedict was able to capture most of his traits perfectly. Acting looks so cool!

I did like the fact that at the end, Benedict's character is giving an interview saying a film is going to be made about him and that its just a version of the story. This tells me the filmmakers were aware of the fact and knew it was just one guy's story they were telling. (Read Inside Wikileaks)

The film might leave one thinking. Everything and I mean everything comes with a price. Leaking secret information and data about someone can do both harm or good. It is not sure who should decide what result will eventually come out but one thing is for sure. Information is not something one can mess around with in today's age.
