Thor 2

Thor 2 was an amazing film as is customary with Marvel these days. True, it is getting a huge boost from Avengers success but the movie held its own. Director Alan Taylor's Game of Thrones touch could be felt throughout the movie. The action sequences were great. And this movie packs a whole lot more comedic elements. I sometimes feel if comedy's effect is more profound when its part of a big/serious movie. Unless I recount truly funny comedy films like Anchorman and Stepbrothers etc, I feel movies like Thor 2 make me laugh more if they have are done well. Just a thought. I think it acts as a relief element from the ongoing chaos. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) banter looked great on screen and I loved Lady Sif (Jaime Alexander, Hope she is Wonder Woman).  Most fun scene for me was Thor enacting different characters one time turning into Captain America too.!! That was hilarious! Once again, I see London being destroyed big time and I am failing to count how many times this year I have seen that happen on the big screen :P.

I would like to point out to people who have yet to see the movie and are planning on watching. There are two credits scene (one mid credit and one after credit) so don't forget to watch all of it. The first one ties up to the up coming movie related to some Guardians I think (Ahem...!!) and probably some later assembling of heroes. I felt Thor 2 sets up Avengers Phase 3 more rather than Phase 2 as Ultron is not really referenced in this movie unlike the last Thor which set up Loki as the villain for the Avengers.

Time for DC to pack a punch now!! Cant wait for Batman vs Superman!!
