SNL This Week

I am not really sure how many times in this blog I will write about TV shows but I do watch them as anyone else. I like Saturday Night Live a lot and have been a bit disappointed with the amount of laughs I was getting in previous few shows. But last night's episode was by far the best of the year so far if you ask me. The real life bromance of Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon translated to an awesome show on screen. The bits performed were well written as well. The family few bit and JT's Fallon impersonation caught Jimmy breaking in the middle of the character and it was fun to watch. It reminded me of Stefan's often character breaking. I know it is considered not right, sometimes even offensive by some but I feel if you can get the audience to laugh, it is okay. It will definitely not work for something like a movie or a broadway show but for SNL where the main objective is to make people laugh, this should work and worked it did.  The music video performed by the ladies at SNL and Jimmy Fallon was great as well. The singers performing for Christmas i.e. Alanis Morissette (Cecily Strong), Pitbull, Harry Styles (Jimmy Fallon) and others were accurately done. The impersonation of  Harry Styles and Billy Joel Armstrong was the best. I am not sure if Professor Snape needed to be there.. haha but again the point is to make people laugh. My overall score: 9 out of 10.
