From as early as I can remember knowing about football through my uncle, Eusebio had always been one of the names from the start that I was introduced to as being a great. It is always good to know about the legends of the game and the Black Panther was certainly one of them. Benefica was already a great club when he signed for them but sometimes it is hard to maintain greatness and Eusebio certainly helped them do just that. His record at the club is just staggering averaging more than a goal per game. The Portuguese took his country to new heights as well and to third place at the 1966 World Cup and also being the top scorer of the tournament.
As a fan sign once said when one of my favorite cricket players Sachin Tendulkar retired from the game "Legends Never Retire". I will add to it and say
"Legends Never Die".
RIP.
