The second installment to the reimagined Planet of the Apes is a step up to the first one and offers more development of character and action. Who would think an ape would be the star of the movie for his character portrayal but Caesar does just that. His character shows such emotions, its exciting to watch how far cinema as come. Andy Serkis once again is the master behind the motion capture art. And I am hoping there is some sort of category at Oscars to honor that. I think there will be especially now we see more of these movies being made. After all, it is acting. From the trailers, I thought Gary Oldman would have a significant role in the movie but actually apart from the apes, it was Jason Clarke who played his part well and was the primary actor amongst the humans. Gary obviously plays his part well and so do all the other actors. However, I must say why do always there's one guy who just has to bring a gun after everyone understands its not worth it. Hate that guy. I dont even consider him a villain. Just stupid. I did not notice the soundtrack of the movie perhaps because I was preoccupied with the actual dialogues so no particular comments about that right now.
Overall, an excellent movie to watch.
