Lucy: Review

Luc Besson's goes a lot lot further in this movie than the Fifth Element and considering that the latter was already set in the future, that's saying a lot. I must say Lucy will not rank in my top 10 movies of the year so far but it was enjoyable to watch. Scarlett Johansson was the main reason for my interest in the movie after watching the trailers and she is a total badass in the film and carries it throughout. Fictionally speaking, this was an idea worth exploring (using 100% of our brain) even though I will let you know that this is a myth. But I liked Luc Besson's direction and his thought process in the movie. Ultimately, all of us are (is) matter and when we die, we join other matter around. As Lucy said "I am everywhere". This film is all about Scar Jo people. Lately, she has been doing incredible stuff. Watch that weird movie (Under the Skin) and Her and of course she brings in here Black Widow in this one.
The special effects are not as prominent but the cinematography is excellent when we see the changing worlds towards the end of the movie.

Overall Rating:
Worth watching.
