What an inspiring movie of how one man can lead a generation through all obstacles. This is another reason I love movies. They entertain, and delight sure, but, some also enlighten you to history. David Oyelowo portrays Dr. Martin Luther King commandingly and he could easily have been a nominee for this year's Best Actor category at the Oscars. The movie, for the most part, tells the story of Dr. King's march from Selma to Montgomery in his fight to grant equal voting right to the black community of Alabama. And in doing so, he did have one of the greatest demonstrations of freedom in the United States. Coming back to the movie, the soundtrack is great and "Glory" song gives me chills everytime I hear. John Legend and Common, did deserve the Oscar they got for Best Song. All the other actors were great. Apart from David, I liked (hated) Tim Roth's portrayal of Governor George Wallace.
I would suggest whenever you are feeling down, go ahead and watch this film. You will be inspired.
