Get Hard Movie Review

I am onboard the Kevin Hart comedy club currently and Will Ferrell is always hilarious. This movie, while not a laugh riot throughout, was still funny and engaging to me. Will Ferrell plays this naive and innocent businessman who gets framed and made a scapegoat for the fraud his boss and father-in-law committed. He calls on Kevin Hart to help him adjust to prison life thinking he would already have experienced it because of his skin color which made this and other awkward conversations between the two hilarious. And that is where lies its negative point for me as well. It plays too much on the race jokes which was not good to watch. The stereotype jokes were only carried through because of the chemistry between Will and Kevin which was amazing and both played off each other wonderfully. Kevin Hart's short height is played a lot as a joke in this movie which does get excessive sometimes but I could get over it. One other problem I had with the movie was this whole gag of Will joining the "gang". It seemed forced and not really worth it. This is a movie you could perhaps watch before you go to sleep as I did. :P
