I just came across this movie after a recommendation from one of the Youtube channels and thought of giving it a try as it stars Felicity Jones and I liked her in The Theory of Everything. Even though, this might be a romantic film, it looked more like a life story. Not everything in life has a happy ending. The two lead actors, Felicity Jones and Anton Yelchin were great. The movie was released in 2011 so its one of their earlier movie work. The movie is shot in a documentary style with close up camera that I liked. It made the actors feel a bit more real and I thought it made sense since it is a story that can happen in real life. Felicity plays Anna, a British student who falls in love with the American Jacob (Anton Yelchin) and the story then follows their on-off relationship due to the distances they face constantly. Throughout the movie, when they are apart, they miss each other "like crazy" but as time passes, one final moment captures beautifully how they have slowly grown apart. The performances were great but movie does have its negative as per my opinion. The visa issue plot line that Anna faces and which constantly hinders her to join Jacob in America and live together forever seemed a bit too convenient. Oh, and it has a cameo from Jennifer Lawrence which was good. I also like the fact that the director didn't spend too much time being stuck in a parting and meeting up moment between the two leads which made the story more enjoyable to watch. Other than that, a simple story well told.
