I will admit I was in a bit of shock the moment I left the theater yesterday after watching this movie thinking "What just happened?". Then, after giving it some thought, I write this review today with a smile on my face. It was an amazing spectacle to watch and having watched it in non-Imax, non-3d screen, I can tell you it was no less awesome. The movie is carried by amazing acting from Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron and oh, also Nicholas Hoult with the line of the movie for me. Tom Hardy stars as Max who is a ex police officer living a lonely yet adventurous life after losing his daughter and wife in a traumatic incident (not shown in the movie). He is constantly wandering the post apocalyptic roads. In one of his wanders, he is captured and then meets Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron. I will say, even though, the title is Mad Max, the story is more about Furiosa. This movie does a great job of portraying a complete story arc for a female character that is not often seen in movies. She is the badass killer (of bad people), a savior (from the antagonist's tyrranical rule), and also someone who has lost something in her past. The crazy action sequences and stunning visuals were a joy to watch and so was the soundtrack going with it. It felt like an opera performance. It was a lovely day. Kudos George Miller.
Overall Review: I can see how this movie might not be for everyone but whoever is into it will really be happy to have watched it.
