Maggie Movie Review

Maggie is a story about a girl who gets infected with a zombie virus and her father's struggles to spend as much time with her before the eventuality strikes. The story did not strike me but I am writing this review because of what Arnold Schwarzenegger brought to his character as a loving father who doesn't give up on his daughter till the last breath. This does not mean he deluded about what was going on around him. He had accepted Maggie's fate but also was ready to do what was needed when time comes. This might be Arnold's best dramatic performance which only shows age doesn't hinder improvement (at least in acting). Abigail Breslin plays Maggie and does a good job as well. Somehow, I cannot get Little Miss Sunshine out of my head every time I see her on screen. The movie had an emotional ending when Maggie kisses her father good bye and takes her own life. Some of the cinematography looked cool and this particular movie I believe worked well with the dark color filters used. Although Arnold was good in the movie, his single tear drop did not get me and looked a bit forced. The film does seem slow in some parts but

does not drag for too long (90 minutes) which is perfect for the subject matter. So probably you can watch it over a cup of tea. More importantly, if you are Arnold's fan, you should definitely check this out.
