This movie wasn't nearly as bad as I had preconceived it to be. I found myself enjoying it for the most part. It is a horror comedy about Ig Perrish (Daniel Radcliffe) finding horns growing out of his head after he is grieving and wrongly blamed for his girlfriend's death. These horns while hideous for the appearance allow him to know all the secrets of people around him. The whole movie then becomes a story of Ig finding his girlfriend's killer. I was very impressed by Daniel Radcliffe's performance and he has truly shown what a good actor he is even outside the Potter universe. I do believe his baby face sometimes get in his way but he does try his best and it shows. The film itself does suffer from some inconsistencies in the story for example the extent of Ig's abilities but it was an intriguing one to watch nevertheless and surprisingly has good comedic moments as well. It also has very little dramatic tension and is very monotonic in the sense that it assumes that everyone is inherently evil which on hindsight is quite possibly true. One other negative is that it stretches a bit too long in my opinion.
The movie should mostly appeal to this particular genre loving audiences.
