My Best Movies of 2015

I wanted to take this moment to reflect back on the movies I saw in 2015 and possibly give my judgement (a harsh word in my opinion) on those. I will be dividing this into segments, the most entertaining and the best movies that I watched.

Most Entertaining

This will belong to the Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation. Mad Max was a close call but MI had that something extra that got my movie senses to jump in delight. This movie was even more entertaining than the previous version i.e. Ghost Protocol which is always a hard thing to achieve.  Tom Cruise's action and acting never disappoints and Rebecca Ferguson was the one that was the icing on the cake. I had never heard of her (did see her in Hercules but of course that was a bit part role) before and she almost steals the movie. She was beautiful, badass, sexy, emotional and amazing all at once and was as much important to the movie as was Tom Cruise. I still do not know how Tom Cruise does those action scene and how he is over 50.

Best I Saw

I think Ex Machina takes this one just because of the experience I had watching director Alex Garland speak about the film in person. This was my first ever event of such kind (hopefully more are to come in the future). I only wish I had the courage to ask a question myself. The event just showed me how knowledgeable the directors are and how much effort and research they put into making these movies. The film itself was something to have thinking conversation about. The idea of artificial intelligence has always amazed us and this was a dramatic and mysterious take on that thought. The acting, consisting of only three (main) actors throughout was superb. Alicia Vikander, Oscar Isaac and Domhnall Gleeson are definitely future stars.

Here's looking to an amazing 2016. Happy New Year Everyone!
