This is a drama about a struggling uncle Frank and his relationship with his niece who is a prodigy. He is occupied in between giving her the normal life while acknowledging her very obvious genius and complications that come with that. The story is familiar so entertainment comes from the actors and both Chris Evans and the young actress, McKenna Grace were the stars. This is the second time I have seen an amazing performance from a kid this year after Dafne Keen in Logan.
The negatives were some of the plot lines which annoyed me like the very predictable protagonist, the grandmother. Her being British just added to her stereotypical movie villain.
Other than that, the movie was charming and a fun way to spend my Saturday night before sleep. It was great to see Chris in a role far from the blockbuster one as Captain America. The director, Marc Webb too returned back to his 500 Days of Summer days after a somewhat unfortunate return with Spiderman.
I recommend watching this movie.
