Paddington 2 is a sequel to the 2014 film directed by Paul King about the familiar Paddington bear somehow finding himself in jail and then trying to escape it. He makes friends and melts hearts along the way of both the characters and the audience.
There was not a single moment in the movie where I felt bored which shows there is still fun to be had in the simplicities and innocence of life and it's people. The supporting cast is brilliant including Sally Hawkins, the villain Hugh Grant, Hugh Bonneville, Brendan Gleeson, Julie Walters and counting. The presence of Harry Potter alumni doesn't surprise me as the film is produced by David Heyman who did those films as well.
Paul King does very well to carry on the story forward while allowing us to feel for the charactets. The fun moments are never forced and combine well with the emotional ones. Everything about this film is sweet. Watch out for diabetes.
