I am not sure if anyone noticed but the primary Alan Silvestri Avengers theme only played when Cap’s team was in action most of the scenes and I would like to know from the film makers if it was intentional. The theme was also not overused which I like even more as it makes me enjoy the moments when it is playing. I found myself audibly gasping during some scenes and particular character appearances. The movie sets the character of Thanos and why he is such a formidable opponent straight from the beginning which keeps you attentive for the whole two and half hours of the movie.
Thor and Doctor Strange were one of the standouts which makes sense as he is a good and most suited to fight Thanos. It was somewhat surprising that Thor alone was able to beat him (almost). I could sense they had the power to beat Thanos as per the comics where they are one of the strongest Marvel superheroes (until Captain Marvel comes along)
At times, the movie felt like going into magical fantasy realm as the search for soul stone happened and that caught me a bit off guard. Even if they have movies like Doctor Strange in their wallet, it still did not feel like a Marvel movie during those moments. Anytime, there is time involved you will find loopholes and once we saw Thanos’s ability at the beginning of the movie, some of the later scenes weren’t consistent in showcasing his powers.
Some of the losses did not have the same emotional impact as the one right in the beginning had since I know they are coming back in another movie although this movie did do as good a job as it good with it. It was also a little surprising to not see any governments acting on this alien invasion threat that usually happens with these disaster type movies. Threat was global but impact on others except heroes wasn’t really felt until the post credits scene and a few scenes at the start. This again emphasizes Thanos being the main character in the film and also the damage being done more on the galactic scale.

This review as you might have noticed is not a normal format. My thoughts are all over the place with this one just because of me being overwhelmed with the amount of stuff happening.
