Mission : Impossible - Fallout Review

These summer movies are so much fun and Christopher McQuarrie and Tom Cruise team up is proving to be a consistent source of this entertainment.

Fallout brings back some major characters from the previous installment Rogue Nation (and some even from before) primarily Rebecca Ferguson and Sean Harris, both of whom do a great job once again. I liked the new character introduced in the movie, Henry Cavill's August Walker although I would have liked his character to be more complex. August's introduction was good but he turned into just a hammer (as he is referenced in the movie).

The action scenes are superb and really takes things to the next level more so if you watch the behind the scenes and see what it takes to shoot them. They complexities are beautiful. The action scenes remind me of a lot of other films I saw like The Dark Knight (primarily the one with the trucks). Cruise running through Paris, riding a motorbike like the action hero that he is through a crowded city, flying a helicopter and chasing another..very close. Kudos to the film's action team. The film also has some nice dramatic moments.

The film had moments where it felt like it was divided into two or three parts which took me out a little but the finish is awesome. I admit I enjoyed Rogue Nation more but this movie is hugely entertaining and you definitely worth watching!
